The Freeborn Red FJ40 (above) is fitted with CCOT's 4" HFS™ Lift Kit and 1½" HFS™ "Barbell Shackle".Tires are BF Goodrich Radial Mud Terrain T/As (33" x 10½" x 15") mounted on factory wheels.

HFS™ springs have superior design features to Lift and Soften Ride.
HFS™ Springs are engineered slightly longer to push shackles out and away from axels allowing shackles to swing as springs flex. Proper spring shackle angle creates a much softer ride, reduced leaf stress and improves spring durability.
To maintain the "Ideal Shackle Angle" requires a much heavier and beefier spring stack.
HFS™ Lift Springs are known to be Heavier and "Softer" riding than any other Land Cruiser Lift Spring on the Market.

You will feel the difference in positive handling and control of the new HFS Poly bushing. HFS Poly bushings have a shore A durometer rating of 80 and tensile strength near 5000psi. The typical durometer measurement will vary between 65 (soft) and 88 (hard). The typical bushing tensile strength measurement should not be lower than 2500 psi. Suspension engineers concocted the proprietary HFS urethane formula to work in combinations with heavy duty HFS leaf springs that require more wheel articulation / travel and comfort for street use. HFS polyurethane spring bushings have grease grooves to uniformly distribute grease across the entire inner bushing surface.

The "HFS™ Designer Lift" Gives the Customer individual control of their desired lift height.
The final lift height is controlled by the shackles that Customers choose.
If Customer chooses the 1½" HFS™ "Barbell Shackle", then their lift height (over stock) will be approximately 3¼"
If Customer chooses the 2½" HFS™ Barbell Shackle", then their lift height (over stock) will be approximately 3¾"

"HFS Leveler Block" cures the Driver's Side Lean of most FJ40s. Leans vary from Cruiser to Cruiser depending on spring age and type. CCOT designed and extensively tested our HFS Leveler Block FORMULA on many FJ40s. We found that our HFS Leveler Block cured the lean on all test vehicles with new springs. Block w/Pin (4" x 3/8") installs on top of the rear passenger's side spring stack. Add HFS Leveler Block to top of spring stack (like an additional top leaf) and bolt down with spring center pin.
Note: The leveler block pin head diameter is 9/16"

Note: One Customer with a 1964 FJ40 had a lean on the Passenger's side (instead of the Driver's side) and had to install his leveler block on the rear Driver's side to level his vehicle. In his case, the rear spare tire rack was on the Passenger's side (opposite of later models) instead of the Driver's side. So, the theory is that the block installs on the rear spring on the opposite side of the lean and in his case the opposite side of his rear tire rack. Blue FJ40 pictured below has CCOT Leveler Block installed.
